The context
Health New Zealand's digital services were designed by many teams and vendors. A shared design system helps them build consistent, accessible services without starting from scratch each time.
My role
I co-led and was product owner for Health New Zealand's enterprise Figma design system, and coordinated accessibility work across platforms.
What I worked on
- Co-led and product-managed the enterprise Figma design system, used by designers across several vendors
- Coordinated WCAG 2.2 audits and compliance across public and workforce platforms, including the staff intranet and Microsoft 365 tools
- Explained audit findings to executives in plain terms
- Worked with cross-agency partners on kaupapa Māori and inclusive design approaches
